Adams County Resident Wins Top Prize in Lottery Scratch Game

DENVER - Shona Masteller of Westminster, Colo., won $42,000 in the Colorado Lottery’s Scratch game $2 7-11-21. Phillips 66, located at 9991 Wadsworth Parkway, sold the winning ticket.

In Adams County, more than $65 million in Lottery proceeds have helped to improve community parks, wildlife areas and nature trails such as the South Platte River Heritage Corridor Legacy, the Skyline Vista Neighborhood Park in Westminster and the Ruston Park Renovation in Federal Heights.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games - Scratch, Lotto, Powerball, and Cash 5 - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. In fiscal year 2005, more than $103.7 million was returned to Colorado. Since the lottery started in 1983, more than $1.6 billion has been returned to the state.
