Las Vegas winner scratches off $10,000 on his way out of town
Danny H. of Las Vegas won the $10,000 top prize on his $1 Colorado Cash Scratch ticket!
Danny and his partner were travelling back to Las Vegas on a road trip and stopped for a pit stop at a Kum & Go in Rifle. They picked up four $1 tickets on a whim on their way out the door and scratched them right away in the parking lot, not expecting much. On the last ticket, they scratched off what looked like a big winner and couldn’t believe it! They rushed into the convenience store to confirm and then jumped in the car to hurry to the Lottery Claims Center in Grand Junction before closing time. Even as they were cashing in their ticket, Danny and his partner were in total disbelief and over the moon about their win.
Danny is an artist working on a Master’s degree and says he will put his winnings in savings. He says he’s played the lottery on and off his whole adult life but hadn’t ever won more than $10, so this was quite a surprise for him! Maybe Colorado is even luckier than Vegas? Congrats, Danny!
