Fountain winner goes numb and triple-checks lucky winning ticket
Shari K. of Fountain won the $30,000 top prize on her Loteria Scratch ticket! Shari, who works as an assistant manager at Family Dollar, says she plays bingo and crossword Scratch games often, but before this, the most she had won was $500 (on another Loteria ticket!). Shari purchased her $3 winning ticket at Smoker Friendly at 352 Main St. in Colorado Springs. She was cashing in some small wins, planning on taking her $46 and walking away, when something told her to buy some more tickets. When Shari scratched off her big winner, she “went numb and everything went silent.” Then she checked the Colorado Lottery app to make sure it was a winner, then she ran to her boss to confirm, and then she ran back to the retailer to triple-check! Shari says she will use her big prize to buy a car, give some to her mom and dad, and save some. Congratulations, Shari!
