William W. of Englewood almost skipped buying a Scratch ticket—until his mom convinced him otherwise.
While picking up groceries, he almost walked past the Lottery vending machine. But after his mom encouraged him to buy a ticket, he picked up a $20,000 Frenzy Scratch ticket—and it paid off with a $5,000 prize. William purchased his winning ticket at King Soopers, located at 9820 W. Belleview Ave. in Littleton.<o:p></o:p>
A prep cook by trade, William has been playing the Lottery occasionally for the past two years, usually choosing whichever Scratch ticket catches his eye.<o:p></o:p>
He plans to save most of his winnings but also treat himself to a well-earned vacation.<o:p></o:p>
