The winning ticket was a $3,000,000 Millionaire Maker Scratch game ticket purchased at Shop & Hop, located at 15 Eagle-Vail Road in Avon.
Carmela said her first reaction was a mix of shock and happiness as she realized she had just won the biggest Lottery prize of her life.
A Colorado Lottery player for the past 15 years, Carmela enjoys playing $10 and $20 Scratch games and occasionally treats herself to a $50 ticket.
She plans to use her winnings to help pay some bills.
