Routine stop at a convenience store leads to a winning surprise!
Philip L. is celebrating after winning $1,000 playing the Colorado Lottery's $500,000 Crossword Scratch game.
Philip purchased his winning ticket at Alta Convenience, located at 1301 Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. He was stopping by the store to buy cigarettes and Lottery tickets when he picked up the lucky Scratch ticket.
His first reaction to the win was happiness.
An engineer, Philip has been playing Colorado Lottery games for 18 years and especially enjoys $10 and $20 Crossword Scratch games.
He plans to use his winnings to help pay bills.
