Self-picked numbers deliver a winning surprise!
Michael M. is celebrating after winning $1,000 playing Mega Millions.
Michael purchased his winning ticket at King Soopers, located at 825 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver. He selected his own numbers and plays a couple of times a week.
He discovered his win when he logged into the Colorado Lottery app and checked his ticket.
His first reaction? Disbelief.
A retired player, Michael has enjoyed previous Lottery success, including a $2,500 win on a Scratch ticket.
He plans to use his winnings to help pay for gas and groceries.
