We're Adding a Monday Drawing
Powerball is adding a third weekly draw day on Mondays, in addition to Wednesday and Saturday. The first Powerball Monday drawing will be held on August 23rd. Increasing the number of drawings from two to three nights a week is expected to produce bigger jackpots while increasing the number of cash prizes and jackpots awarded on an annual basis.
Get Another Chance to Win with Double Play
For an additional $1 per play, the Double Play option will give you another chance to match your Powerball numbers with an additional drawing to win a top cash prize of $10 million. The Double Play drawing will be held immediately after every Powerball drawing. More details will be provided as we get closer to launch!
What You Need to Know Now
In preparation of offering these new game features, the game system has to countdown the number of Advance Play draws offered down to zero. Once set to zero, the new game features will be available for purchase on August 22nd. So starting on May 26th, the clock starts ticking. That means that after that date if you're used to purchasing 26 Advance Play draws you won't be able to. View the countdown schedule on the right to help you plan your purchase.
