You Must Be At Least 18 Years of Age

On the back of your driver's license or state-issued I.D., there is a PDF417 barcode you'll need to scan to make a purchase. Hold your I.D. horizontally with the 2D barcode facing up underneath the scanner – the same scanner used to check the winning status of Lottery tickets. Cover the smaller UPC on the back of your I.D. to ensure a quick and seamless scan. Once you hear a beep, you'll know that the barcode was read and verified. If your license doesn't scan right away, try to move your license closer and then farther away from the scanner.

Why Won't Your ID Scan?

If you have an out-of-state I.D., it may lack the PDF417 barcode. Older iterations of the Colorado driver's licenses or state-issued I.D. may not include the updated barcode. Licenses that are expired or damaged may not scan. If you’re still having issues, please purchase your games at the customer service desk.

Insert Cash

Dream Machines accept up to $100, but it is vital to remember that Dream Machines DO NOT DISPENSE CHANGE, so be sure to insert the exact dollar amount you wish to play. Once your cash is accepted, you can buy Jackpot games with the Quick Pick option by choosing your favorite game and pressing one of the purchase options on the top of the machine. If you prefer to use a play slip, fill it in and insert it into the receptacle beneath the cash receptor and keyboard entry. If Scratch is your game of choice, press the button for the desired game and take the dispensed ticket.

Check To See If You're A Winner

Dream Machines can also check your previously bought tickets to determine if they won. You can apply the winnings as credit on the machine (up to $100) to make another purchase. If you decide to apply your winnings as a credit, it must be for the ENTIRE amount of your winnings.
