Paul G. was a little stressed when his brother called telling him to get home quick. He had no idea it would be for a life-changing prize from the Lottery.

In the end, he was not sorry to come home early Thursday night from an after-work get together with friends when he learned he had won $500,000.

The Colorado Springs man won the Second-Chance Drawing for the scratch games Idyllic Dollars/ Brilliant Bucks. The Lottery’s Prize Surprise crew caught up with him after we coaxed his brother to call and encourage him to come home so that we could present his prize.

However, this is not the only time Paul has hit it big. In March 2017, he won $250,000 playing Thrilling Crossword Multiplier scratch!  How does Paul intend to spend his new winnings?

“Pay off the house and go on a trip, because we promised our daughter already that we were going to take her and her kids,” he said.

Paul won his $500,000 prize by submitting his non-winning Scratch tickets through the Lottery’s website and mobile app. For more information on Second-Chance Drawings, please visit https://www.coloradolottery.com/en/games/scratch/drawings/.

“If you’re not playing your second chance lottery,” added Paul “you’re losing out, see?”
