Lottery Commission gets new commissioner, reappoints Chair.

Denver—Stan Podolski  of Fort Collins was appointed to the Colorado Lottery Commission by Governor John Hickenlooper on Friday, Oct. 5.

With over 35 years of experience, Podolski, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), fills the state statutory requirement that at least one Commission seat be filled by a CPA. He will serve a four-year term expiring July 1, 2022.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University.

Podolski rose to CEO of Fort Collins Radiologic Associates after 23 years in the business of imaging. He has served as a board member on the Medical Center of the Rockies, Paragon Medical Management, Harmony Management Services, and the Poudre Valley Healthcare Pension Board.

A 1980 Olympic Trials Finalist, Podolski signed as a free agent that same year with the New England Patriots. He was elected into the Southern Illinois University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.

Jim Bensberg of Colorado Springs has been reappointed and serves as citizen representative  and Chair of the five-member body. He was appointed to the Lottery Commission in July, 2014 and will continue his term through July 1, 2022.
