A typical evening at the Adams County Fair ended with happy tears for one Lottery player on Thursday.

Elenna R. from Denver won $750,000 in a Second-Chance Drawing for the Scratch game Back in the Bucks / Back to Back Winnings. The Lottery’s Prize Surprise crew caught up with her and her cousin at the fairgrounds and presented her with a big check. She said the prize money will go toward tuition to cosmetology school, but her first order of business is to help her parents pay a few bills.

“They both are disabled, and they’ve always helped me anytime I’ve needed anything,” she said, wiping away tears. “My whole life they’ve taught me to give back to the community, and help people, and pay it forward.”

The Lottery and the Adams County Fair had another surprise for the pair: VIP upgrades to the the rodeo and the Granger Smith concert.

Elenna won her prize by submitting her non-winning Scratch tickets through the Lottery’s website and mobile app.
