Parachute player wins $1,000 on Decades of Dollars Scratch ticket

Luisa S. is celebrating after winning $1,000 playing the Colorado Lottery's Decades of Dollars Scratch game. 

She purchased her winning ticket at Love's Travel Stop, located at 100 E. Cardinal Way in Parachute, CO.

When Luisa realized she had won, she said she kept rereading the instructions because she couldn't believe it. She plans to save her winnings for a vacation.

Luisa, who works for the City of Glenwood Springs, said this is her largest Lottery win. She hadn't played the Lottery in more than five years, but when she does play, she usually chooses $10 and $20 Scratch games.
