The Colorado Lottery is aware of recent scam attempts targeting Coloradans through phone calls and voicemails claiming lottery winnings.
In these cases, individuals are told they’ve won large prizes—but are then asked to send money to claim them. If you receive a request like this, it’s a scam.
What to know:

The Colorado Lottery does not contact players to notify them of winnings. The only exception is for official second-chance drawings.
