Powerball win means car upgrades and home remodel.
Joseph R. of Westminster scored a $100,000 Powerball prize with a quick-pick ticket from King Soopers in Arvada. A loyal player “since the beginning,” he never misses his Saturday draw.
When he went to redeem his ticket, the store clerk told him he’d hit a big win and directed him to a Lottery claims office. There, the staff wrote Joseph’s prize amount on a slip of paper. “I read it and mouthed, $100,000?”
The first call he made was to his wife, Juanita. Together, they’ll use the winnings to remodel their bathrooms and give Joseph’s classic ’68 Camaro some upgrades. Those new bathrooms will come in handy for the couple’s three children and 11 grandchildren!
