Broomfield gas stop leads to $1,000 Scratch win

Lisa A. of Broomfield is celebrating after winning $1,000 playing the Colorado Lottery's $500,000 Crossword Scratch game.

She purchased her winning ticket at Murphy USA, located at 4620 W. 121st Ave. in Broomfield, while stopping for gas.

Lisa, who works in the restaurant industry, said she was excited to discover her win. She plans to use her prize to pay some bills and do something nice for herself.

Although she plays the Lottery from time to time and typically chooses $10 and $20 Scratch tickets, this isn't her first big win. Her biggest Lottery prize to date was an impressive $100,000 on a $20 777 Scratch ticket.
