Millionaire for Life Top Prize Winners
Millionaire for Life jackpot winners are encouraged to claim their prize at the Denver Claim Center.
Seek financial advice before claiming the top prize; consider these questions:
Cash or Annuity?
Do you want to receive your prize in the form of an annuity (a series of fixed payments
paid at regular intervals over a specified period), or in one lump sum payment? If the
cash option is selected, the prize will be paid at the time of the claim, after the
verification of the prize amount. If the annuity option is selected, the initial payment will
be made at the time of claim, after the verification of the prize amount and all
subsequent payments will be made according to such schedule of payments set at the
discretion of the Lottery for the winner's life, for a minimum of twenty years.
What’s the best way to share a prize?
If you decide to “split” the prize, one person is designated as the prize recipient, signs
the winning Millionaire for Life ticket, and distributes the money.
Where will you put your money?
There are FDIC regulations that need to be considered when depositing large sums of money. Contact your financial institution for more information.
