Ticket cost and sales
Ticket buyers must be 18 years or older. Mega Millions tickets cost $1 and are available at most Colorado retailers. Add the Megaplier option for an extra $1 per line of play and multiply your winnings up to four times the original amount (excluding jackpot). The Megaplier multiplier (2, 3 or 4) is drawn before the Mega Millions winning numbers.

Odds of winning
Prizes equal 50% of overall sales. Overall odds of winning 1 in 40. Odds of winning jackpot prize 1 in 175.5 million.
Mega Millions officials may reduce prize levels for Mega Millions and/or Megaplier in the event that an unanticipated number of winner claims exceed the available prize fund for a given draw. In such instances the dollars allocated to each prize level impacted will be divided equally among all winners of the prize.
