WINNING LOTTO TICKET SOLD IN DENVER

DENVER, August 1, 2011– One lucky winner matched all six numbers in Saturday’s Lotto drawing, winning a $4.2 million jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at the King Soopers store located at 3100 S. Sheridan St. in Denver. The store will receive $5,000 for selling the lucky ticket. The winning numbers are 10-11-24-27-28-33.

The prize is worth $2,115,118 in cash. The winner, who has not yet claimed the prize, has until January 30, 2012 to do so.

The probability of winning the Lotto jackpot is 1 in 5.25 million. Overall probability of winning any Lotto prize is 1 in 35. More than 390 people have become millionaires playing Lotto since the game began in 1989.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – Lotto, Powerball, Mega Millions, MatchPlay Cash 5, and Scratch - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2.2 billion to the state of Colorado since its creation 28 years ago. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided funding for new trails, precious open space and wildlife protection. Denver County has received more than $123 million in funding since the Lottery was established.
