Scratch tickets should NOT be brought to the State Fair this year, as only tickets scanned into the Lottery app or entered via the website will be entered into this year's State Fair promotional drawings.

PUEBLO,  Colo. -- The Colorado Lottery wants to be sure that players know they do not need to bring the past year’s scratch tickets to the State Fair. This year, there will be NO collection of non-winning Scratch tickets at Safeway stores, nor at the State Fair itself.

Since September 5, 2017, players have been encouraged to scan their non-winning Scratch tickets into the MyLottery mobile app for entry into the 2018 State Fair Drawing.

Drawings to win a pack of Scratch tickets have already begun and players have additional opportunities to have their entries s drawn for the 2018 State Fair Drawing on July 17 and August 14.

The grand finalists in the drawing to win a vehicle will be selected on August 21, with the final Grand Prize winner selected from those finalists on September 3.

If Pueblo area players would like some in-person assistance on how to use the MyLottery app to scan your non-winning tickets, come visit our Lottery staff at the State Fair building in Pueblo from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  July 13, or August 10. Lottery employees will have iPads, demos on how to download the Lottery app, show how to sign up for MyLottery, and Shred-It disposals to get rid of those tickets entered into the drawing via the app while at the Lottery building.

We hope this information saves you time and effort (and your back, which had to help you lug bags of tickets to the State Fair each previous year!)  We’ll see you--minus your ticket baggage--at the 2018 State Fair!
