$6.37 MILLION LOTTO TICKET CLAIMED BY WOMAN FROM AURORA

DENVER, July 31, 2013– A Lotto ticket worth $6.37 million that was sold in Aurora two weeks ago has been claimed.The ticket for the July 17 drawing was sold at King Soopers at 4271 S. Buckley Road in Aurora.The winner, a woman from Aurora, took the $3.18 million lump-sum cash option.

The winner is a student seeking her bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. Even though she won the jackpot, she still plans on finishing her degree. She also plans on being sensible with her winnings – she would like to pay off her house and buy a townhouse. She will also share some of it with her two grown children.

Lotto drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays evenings. Lotto has a starting jackpot of $1 million. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 35. To play, consumers choose six numbers from 1 to 42.
