$10.8 MILLION LOTTO JACKPOT SIXTH LARGEST IN U.S.
DENVER, July 13, 2010 – The Colorado Lottery’s $10.8 million Lotto jackpot is the now sixth largest prize offered by any Lottery nationwide. The jackpot, which hasn’t been hit since Feb. 27, 2010, is worth $5.4 million in cash. The last time the jackpot was this big was in October 2008.
With the rising Lotto jackpot, Colorado residents now have a shot at winning three of the nation’s top 10 largest jackpots. Mega Millions is ranked No. 1, with a $52 million top prize and Powerball is second with a $20 million jackpot.

And Lotto isn’t the only Colorado Lottery Jackpot game on a roll. MatchPlay, which launched in February, is offering a jackpot worth $463,636. No one has won the game’s top prize since April 2nd.
The MatchPlay drawing will be held at approximately 7:40 p.m. tonight; while the Mega Millions drawing will take place at 9 p.m. Tickets for tonight’s drawing are available until 7:30 p.m.
Powerball and Lotto drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets for the July 14th drawings will be sold until 7:30 p.m. Winning numbers for the Lottery’s jackpot games can be found at www.coloradolottery.com or at any Colorado Lottery retail outlet.
