Colorado Lottery Launches New Logo

DENVER –   The Colorado Lottery is kicking off the New Year with a new logo. Contemporary but also classic, the new logo resembles a state seal and features the snow-capped 10 Mile Range near Lake Dillon, framed by the Colorado Lottery name. The updated logo is designed to not only gain greater brand recognition for the Lottery, but to also create a closer link to our proceeds partners.

“The green color and use of an actual mountain range remind our players that our mission is to help keep Colorado a beautiful play to live and play,” said Colorado Lottery Director Jack Boehm. “The new logo – which is launching on the Lottery’s 26th birthday - represents a new era that will herald in new technology, new games and a new approach to branding.”

While the new logo will begin appearing on billboards and point of sale material this month, branding all of the Lottery’s materials with the new mark will likely take a year. The new logo was developed by the Lottery’s advertising agency, Cactus Communications, after more than a year of development and exploration.

“After 25 years in business, we felt it was time to freshen up our look,” said Boehm.

The Lottery offers a large family of Scratch games as well as three jackpot games – Cash 5, Lotto and Powerball. Proceeds from the games stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided $2billion in funding for new trails, precious open space, wildlife protection and park
