Jack Boehm Named Acting Colorado Lottery Director

DENVER  –   Jack Boehm, Chief Operating Officer of the Colorado Lottery,  has been named Acting Director of the agency. In addition to his work overseeing the Lottery’s information technology, program management operations, and fiscal departments, Boehm will assume responsibility for the agency’s day to day operations in all areas. He replaces Peggy Gordon, who will retire from the Lottery June 30, after four years with the organization. Gordon will assist with the transition of leadership at the Lottery.

"Jack brings substantial experience to the Colorado Lottery," said Roxy Huber, executive director of the Colorado Department of Revenue. "I know he will build on the strong track record Peggy established during her tenure."

A Lottery industry veteran, Boehm has served in executive positions with several state lotteries as well as a management consultant to businesses in the gaming sector. His previous positions include: Director of Operations for the Arizona Lottery for GTech Corporation, a lottery industry vendor; Deputy Director for the Minnesota State Lottery; Program Director for Control Data Corporation; and Vice President of Operations for Syntech International, a company involved in the lottery industry. In addition, Boehm was the chief architect for the implementation of the first fully automated Lottery Instant Ticket accounting and processing system, created to launch the Minnesota Lottery.  He was also a Vice President of Technologies for American Express Corporation.

Boehm holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Western Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Michigan State University. He will be based at the Lottery’s headquarters in Pueblo.
