Montrose County Resident Wins Top Prize in Lottery Scratch Game

DENVER - Stanley Willey of Nucla won $100,000 in the Colorado Lottery’s Scratch game $10 Golden Goose. The Family Market in Naturita sold the winning ticket.

Golden Gooseoffers three instant top prizes of $100,000. Although there are many prizes still available, only one $100,000 ticket remains. Other instant cash prizes range from $10 to $50,000.

In Montrose County, more than $8 million in Lottery proceeds have helped to improve community facilities, local parks and nature trails, such as the Main Street Park and Rainbow Reservoir Park in Nucla, Naturita City Park and the Montrose County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games - Scratch, Lotto, Powerball and Cash 5 - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. In fiscal year 2005, more than $103.7 million was returned to Colorado. Since the Lottery started in 1983, more than $1.6 billion has been returned to the state.
