Tips and Tools to Help You Start an Office Pool

1.  Determine who will be your Pool Captain.

2.  Send an e-mail to anyone you would like to have participate.

3.  Post Pool Play Alert signs around the office to let co-workers know who to contact, date and time of the next drawing, and deadline for submitting money.  Click here to download your Pool Play Alert sign.

4.  Keep track of your group (who’s playing and the amount) with the Pool Play Sign-Up Form.

5. To have jackpot amounts e-mailed to you automatically, sign up with MyLottery.

6.  Purchase your Jackpot game tickets

• Fill out a play slip choosing your own numbers, or just ask the clerk for a Quick Pick
• Purchase tickets for the next night’s drawing only
• Purchase Advance Play tickets – on your play slip just check Advance Play, or ask the clerk for an Advance Play ticket.  You may purchase up to 26 drawings (of the same numbers) for either Lotto or Powerball, and up to 78 drawings for Cash 5.

7.  Before the draw, it's a good idea to make a group decision about what dollar amount of prize winnings will be split among the group or returned to the Pool Captain for future Lottery pool purchases.

8.  After you have purchased the tickets, it’s a good practice to make copies of the ticket(s) for each group member.  This lets everyone know you’ve purchased the tickets and what numbers have been played on behalf of the group.
