MARGIE MARTINEZ PERUSEK ELECTED COLORADO LOTTERY COMMISSION CHAIR

DENVER, Sept. 9, 2013– Margie Martinez Perusek, retired Weld County Commander, has been elected to her first term as chair of the Colorado Lottery Commission. Martinez Perusek will serve as chair until July 2014.

Perusek served as Weld County Undersheriff for Sheriff John Cooke from 2002-2011. She started her career with the Sheriff’s office in 1976. She graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2005 and earned her Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Perusek also serves on the Board of Directors for United Way and Women’s Ministry Centers and is the President of Kiwanis Club of Greeley.

The Lottery Commissions mission is to ensure that all games marketed by the Colorado Lottery are done with security and protection of the integrity of the games and organization of the Colorado Lottery; and to ensure that all Colorado Lottery games are representative of the values of the State of Colorado and its citizens.
