WINNING LOTTERY TICKETS TOTALING $441,389 SOLD IN MORGAN COUNTY

DENVER,August 13, 2013 – In FY13Colorado Lottery retailers located in Morgan County sold 29 winning Lottery tickets worth more than $599! Those winning tickets were collectively worth $441,389! The biggest winner sold in Morgan County last year was a $250,000 ticket sold at the Conoco Outpost in Fort Morgan.

“In big cities and small towns – people are winning,” said Abel J. Tapia, director of the Colorado Lottery. “And they are winning in more ways than one – every time they visit a park, walk on a trail, or paddle a kayak course, they’re enjoying Colorado Lottery dollars at work. All proceeds from the sale of our games go back to the state for parks, recreation, open space and wildlife conservation. In FY13 we returned more than $135.6 million to our proceeds partners statewide.”

Since the inception of the Lottery $14.3 million has been returned to Morgan County.

During the calendar year of 2012, Lottery retailers in Morgan County collectively produced more than $285,000 in Lottery proceeds to improve the quality of life within the state.

An example of these Lottery contributions can be seen in the $57,600 spent to light the Joslin/Needham Softball Complex in the City of Brush in 2008.
