JANE BIGLIN NAMES NEW COLORADO LOTTERY DEPUTY DIRECTOR

JANE BIGLIN NAMED NEW COLORADO LOTTERY DEPUTY DIRECTOR

DENVER, Jan. 3, 2012– Jane Biglin has recently been appointed as the new deputy director of the Colorado Lottery.

Prior to the Lottery, Biglin was vice president and general manager of the Product Solutions Division at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). There she managed five departments responsible for the development and delivery of educational products and programs. Prior to MGMA, Biglin worked more than eighteen years in consumer banking for Wells Fargo and served as division manager of Transplant Surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

“Jane’s extensive leadership, business, and financial experience will be a great asset to the Colorado Lottery,” Lottery director, Abel J. Tapia has said. “We are pleased to have her as part of our team.”

As deputy director, Biglin will be responsible for the analysis, development, and implementation of the Lottery’s internal policies and procedures; providing expertise in business operations, budget planning, strategic direction, and policy implementation to advise the director and management within the division.

Biglin earned a Bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in Business Administration and was awarded an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University in New York City.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games - Scratch, Lotto, Powerball, Mega Millions and Cash 5 - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2.4 billion to the state since its creation in 1983, providing funding for parks, recreation, open space acquisition, trails, wildlife protection and conservation education.
