COLORADO LOTTERY’S PUEBLO OFFICE LOBBY TO CLOSE TEMPORARILY FOR REMODEL

DENVER, April 27, 2011 – The Colorado Lottery’s Pueblo Headquarters lobby and claims center located at 212 West 3rd Street, Suite 210 in Pueblo, Colo., will be closed on Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 6. The lobby will be closed for remodeling and will reopen on Monday, May 9 at 8 a.m.

During the closure no lottery products will be sold at the office and no prizes under $600 can be redeemed – to redeem winning tickets less than $600 or to purchase tickets please go to a local lottery retailer. Prizes of $600 and higher can be redeemed at the Pueblo Headquarters during the remodel. To claim a prize of $600 or higher call 719-546-5200 or 1-800-999-2959 (press 0), and a lottery employee will meet you at the street entrance and escort you into the lottery office.

The Colorado Lottery will hold a Grand Reopening/Open House to show the public the newly remodeled space on Friday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A ribbon cutting in celebration of the Grand Reopening/Open House with the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce will take place at 9 a.m. Other fun events such as a “Spin the Wheel” promotion and giveaways will take place in the Lottery’s parking lot.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – MatchPlay, Mega Millions, Cash 5, Scratch, Lotto and Powerball - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2 billion to the state of Colorado since it was established. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided funding for new trails, precious open space and wildlife protection.
