$1 MILLION POWERBALL WINNER IN COLORADO

DENVER, April 19, 2011– A Powerball ticket worth $1 million for the drawing held on April 16 was purchased at 7-Eleven at 4401 S. Tamarac Parkway, in Denver, Colo. The winning numbers were: 21, 33, 44, 45, 55 the Powerball was 7 and the Power Play was 5. Nobody has claimed the prize. The winning ticket matched 5 numbers to win $200,000 and since the lucky winner purchased the Power Play option for an additional $1 the ticket winnings are a cool $1 million!


Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 9 p.m. MDT. The next drawing will take place tomorrow, April 20. The estimated jackpot for tomorrow night’s drawing is $56 million. To play, consumers choose five numbers from 1 to 59 and one Powerball number from 1 to 39. Players that match the five numbers and the Powerball win the jackpot. Players can also opt to spend an extra $1 for a “Power Play” option that will multiply their non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. If 5 numbers are matched with the Power Play option, the ticket winnings are a cool $1 million.
