Colorado Lottery MatchPlay Jackpot Gets Hit

Denver, CO, January 18, 2011 –The MatchPlay drawing on Friday, January 14th produced a winning set of numbers with the jackpot at $635,874. The winning ticket numbers were: 12 - 13 - 17 - 19 - 27 – 30. The ticket was purchased at the Wilmore Liquor Store in Wheatridge, CO. The winner has not yet come forward as of Tuesday at 2 p.m. This was the largest MatchPlay jackpot since Colorado introduced the game in February of 2010. The last MatchPlay jackpot was hit in July of 2010 for $528,566.

The $2 ticket gives you three lines of numbers, players select six out of 38 numbers for the first line of play and they will then automatically receive Quick Pick numbers for the next two lines. To win the jackpot you must match 6 numbers across any one straight line. Ways to Win: Line play (match 3, 4, 5 or 6 numbers in one straight line across any of the three lines) and Combined play (match 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10+ numbers in any combination from all three lines). The overall odds of winning MatchPlay are 1 in 6.

Jackpots start at $100,000 and increase by a minimum of $10,000 per draw until it is hit. Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at approximately 7:40 p.m.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – Lotto, Powerball, Cash 5, Scratch, MatchPlay and Mega Millions stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2.2 billion to the state of Colorado since it was established.
