ONE TICKET IN LA JUNTA WINS $1 MILLION POWERBALL PRIZE

PUEBLO – One lucky ticket sold in La Junta won $1 million in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The ticket holder earned the $1 million prize by matching five numbers and selecting the Power Play option for an additional $1. The ticket was purchased at Uptown Music and Video, 301 Santa Fe Ave., La Junta. The store will receive $3,000 for selling the $1 million-winning ticket.

There was no jackpot winner in Saturday’s drawing, so the jackpot will rise to an estimated $27 million for Wednesday’s drawing. The winning numbers were: 13, 30, 32, 38, 57 and the Powerball number was 25. Colorado was the only state participating in Powerball that had a $1 million Powerball winner in Saturday’s drawing. This is the third time this year that a player in Colorado has won $1 million on Powerball.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – Powerball, MatchPlay, Mega Millions, Lotto, Cash 5 and Scratch - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned more than $2.2 billion to the state of Colorado since 1983. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided funding for new trails, precious open space and wildlife protection.
