WINNING LOTTO TICKET SOLD IN GRAND JUNCTION

GRAND JUNCTION – One lucky Grand Junction player is $1.3 million richer today after matching all six numbers in Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at Bookcliff Liquors, 3026 F Road, Grand Junction. The store will receive $5,000 for selling the lucky ticket. The winning numbers were: 4-7-10-15-18-36.

The prize is worth $673,186 in cash. The winner has until May 31, 2010 to claim the prize. Wednesday’s jackpot winner was the second in a week. The winner from the Nov. 25th drawing has yet to claim a $3.7 million jackpot.

“It’s always nice to see our players getting lucky around the holidays,” said Colorado Lottery Director Jack Boehm. “We’re sure these Lotto jackpots will help buy some special gifts.”

The probability of winning the Lotto jackpot is 1 in 5,245,786. Overall probability of winning any prize is 1 in 35. Eighteen people matched five of six numbers in Saturday night’s drawing, earning a $337 prize. Another 632 people matched four of six numbers to win $36.  The Colorado Lottery has created more than 370 millionaires since it began selling tickets in 1983.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – Lotto, Cash 5, Scratch, and Powerball - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. The Lottery has returned $2 billion to the state of Colorado since its creation 26 years ago. Through Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust Fund and Colorado State Parks, the Lottery has provided funding for new trails, precious open space and wildlife protection. Mesa County has received more than $49 million in funding since the Lottery was established.
