State Fair Gives Lottery Players Second Shot at Winning
PUEBLO – Don’t just toss away those non-winning Lottery tickets. Submit them for a chance to win Scratch tickets or a grand prize of $20,000 at the Colorado State Fair. Any non-winning Scratch, Lotto, Cash 5 and Powerball ticket sold between Sept. 1, 2007 and Sept. 1, 2008, is eligible for the State Fair drawings.
To enter, players can submit tickets during the following dates at these locations:
• June 16 – August 15 (until midnight): Colorado Loaf ‘N Jug stores
• June 16 – August 15 (until 5 p.m.): Colorado Lottery Offices
• August 22 – September 1 (until 1 p.m.): The Colorado Lottery/Loaf ‘N Jug Building on the state fairgrounds.
Lottery officials will award $300 worth of $1 Scratch tickets to one lucky player daily, from August 22 through September 1 at the State Fair. On Labor Day, one grand prize winner will receive $20,000. In addition, a second prize winner will receive 300 $5 Scratch tickets, while a third place finisher will earn 100 $2 Scratch tickets. Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games – Powerball, Lotto, Cash 5 and Scratch - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. Celebrating its 25th year, the Lottery has returned more than $1.9 billion to the state of Colorado since its creation.
