Jefferson County Resident Wins Top Prize in Cash 5
DENVER - Lisa Tomlinson of Lakewood, Colo., is a winner of the Colorado Lottery’s Cash 5 game. She won the $20,000 jackpot from the March 3 drawing.
Cash 5 drawings are held every night, except Sunday. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 201,376, and overall odds of winning are 1 in 6.2.
In Jefferson County, nearly $130 million in Lottery proceeds have helped to improve community facilities, local parks and nature trails such as the Clear Creek Corridor, Lookout Mountain Nature Center Environmental Education Exhibits, Daniel L. Schaefer Athletic Complex and the visitor center at Lakewood Heritage Center.
Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery’s games - Scratch, Lotto, Powerball, and Cash 5 - stay in Colorado to improve the quality of life in the state. In fiscal year 2005, more than $103.7 million was returned to Colorado. Since the lottery started in 1983, more than $1.6 billion has been returned to the state.
